Equipment

Traditionally, merchants have used Stand Alone Terminals for card processing. Some time later Point of Sale Systems became the norm throughout major retailers and eventually has become the standard for restaurants. The latest in the evolution of Card Processing Equipment is using your own PC.

Traditional Stand Alone Terminals

If you already have your own terminal, there’s a great chance that you can continue using it. Between Verifone, Hypercom, Eclipse and Nurit brands, as well as many wireless units, we are compatible with most of the equipment out there. We offer both Dial and IP Processing, depending upon the speed needed. If you need a terminal, or just want to upgrade, we offer equipment at reasonable prices. We suggest all merchants own their terminals, as they will probably be able to use them no matter who their processor is in the future.

You may see where CCPS does not lease equipment in various places throughout our site – This is not redundancy on our part; we want all to know what bad business it is to lease equipment. The money spent in the first few months the terminals would have purchased the terminal – the remainder of the 48-month, iron clad contract is nothing more than an expensive education. And in the end the merchant still doesn’t own the terminal!

Point of Sale Systems

There are almost as many configurations of Point of Sale Systems in the marketplace as there are merchants. Unknowingly, many merchants purchase 1) more system than is needed and 2) Proprietary Card Processing Software. Too much system - one can live with it. The Proprietary Card Processing on the other hand, can cost your business dearly on the bottom line for as long as it is used, as all Card Processing Competition is eliminated. They are the only game in town, and the company who sold the software typically gets a cut of the merchants’ Gross Card Sales. Many merchants have chosen to put a Stand Alone Terminal beside the POS System and swipe their customers’ cards. It saves money every month and the POS still does inventory and the books.

CCPS works directly with POS venders and can help guide our merchants in a direction that is more appropriate to actual needs. And there’ll be no Proprietary Card Processing Software inside!

PC Solutions

You’ve no doubt seen them in your doctor’s and dentist’s offices. There’s a block on the side of the monitor where the card is swiped, then often prints the receipt on their computer’s printer. Below are just a few of the attributes of today’s PC Virtual Terminals:

  • No need to purchase a Stand Alone Terminal if there’s a PC present
  • With an inexpensive Card Reader, you can swipe anything a terminal can
  • All card numbers are securely stored on the server – not in your computer
  • Do Recurring Billing without storing card numbers on your computer!
  • Available PIN Pad for Debit card and EBT card processing
  • Commercial card Level II support
  • CVV2/CVC2/American Express, and Discover keyed requirement including CID
  • IP communication with dial back-up

Are you using QuickBooks? You’ve no doubt found that everyone can’t integrate with QuickBooks Pro and Premier. We can.

Regardless of the business, the PC Virtual Terminal may be your
least expensive, simplest and best bet.

We don't believe in hidden fees, and when a merchant is given a proposal showing an amount of monthly savings in an "apples-to-apples" comparison with a current statement, that is what will be seen. We feel that if we aren't doing our jobs, it shouldn't cost the merchant a penny to go elsewhere.
